The shoe fetish continues

Kaci loves to wear my shoes around. She does a pretty good job walking in them. From the front, you wouldn't guess they were too big, but from the back you can tell that she only fills up the toe area. She's so funny. She's also started picking out what shoes she wants us to wear when we get dressed. She always wants me to wear my church shoes. I may have a fancy nancy on my hands here... yikes!

Introducing

Baby Ezra! The newest member of our extended family. I think he has my eyes... just kidding. I think he looks like Liam.

Brad really enjoyed spending time with his soul mate, Liam. It's amazing what a lil time with your best friend can do for ya. Brad came back a new man. I think Brad has really missed Liam. They talk on the phone, but a surf session with your best friend does so much more for your soul!

Brad loved holding a lil baby, he's been wanting one so I hope he got his fix.

The proud parents. Brad didn't take near enough pictures, but I loved this one. What is cooler than first time parents and the dad getting to hold the lil bundle of joy? It's these kind of pictures that make life worth living, don't ya think?

What motherhood can do to a girl.... I think we all feel that way at least once day. Jessie is amazing. What a tuff gal. I love her personality. She can be such a goof, what an endearing quality! I think you are amazing Jessie! Brad can't stop telling me what a great mom you are and how considerate you were of all your guests. Thanks for letting Brad come and play so much, hope he didn't get in the way too much!

Shave Ice

We got a bit of snow this winter, by the fourth or fifth snow storm we got the idea to make shave ice with the snow because Kaci liked eating it so much. We bought a couple packages of Kool-Aid for our flavoring and just didn't add all the water to it. But while we were at the store I saw these M&M ice cream bars... the kid in me made me get 'em. I just thought they were so fun. Plus who doesn't love chocolate covered ice cream. It was a fun night with lots of sugar! Gotta love FamilyHomeEvening when it's time for refreshments!!

Skate Party

A few weeks ago all the Mormons in Harrisonburg rented out the local skate rink and skated. They do it every year. We were so excited to go skating. They had a small pair of skates for Kaci. We tightened the wheels and she learned to skate on her own. It was a lot of fun. I'm still amazed that she could actually do it. She only fell once, unfortunately she face planted and that was the end of that, but she skated for like an hour before she called it quit. Then her daddy just held her while he skated. She loved that! What a fun night!!

He's Off

Brad is officially on his way to Hawaii! He can't wait to meet little Ezra. Liam and Jessie have a little boy in tote now and Brad just had to see him. He's also excited to visit the Howards and play play play. It's funny to think that he'll be the white tourist guy panting on the beach from trying to paddle out!

Special thanks to The Feds for the tax return, JMU (affectionately known as the money suckers)for the scholarship, Momma and Papa Call for the "little surprise" in Brad's Utah account, and birthday money from Mom and Dad (that we loaned out to ourselves to buy non-fun, non birthday stuff til we got above mentioned money)! I guess I should also thank his work for finally getting him a job again so that we actually have an income again. Who knew (literally) dodging a bullet at work still meant no job for over a month. He DODGED it, next time it might be better to just take the hit.

Newest Has Been

It's official, I'm a has been. I now say I "used" to surf. I "was" a personal trainer. I "used" to polevault. At least I can still say I "do" workout (the present tense is glorious!).

There is one nice thing about being a has been... coaching! It's finally official. I am the polevault coach for the local high school. I started today! I can hardly breathe I'm so excited. They haven't had a polevault coach in a long time, maybe ever. But they have equipment and lots of kids who at least want to try it. So, here I go! I'm now Coach Call, but you can still call me Kerri!
