Tire Swing

I saw a tire swing at the park and I asked Brad if we could play. He consented. However, he had NO IDEA what he was getting into. I pushed him first so he could learn how to have fun on it. He thought you just swung back and forth. To his great surprise, I pushed him in a big circle and then spun him. He screamed for his life and asked "where are the brakes on this thing?" He got SO sick, but he took a couple of turn before he almost PUKED! Ha ha ha! I laughed so hard. It was so funny to watch him, I video taped it! If you listen carefully you can hear him say "I'm getting sick...." Then you can hear him start to gag. I honestly wasn't being mean, I LOVE tire swings...so FUN!!

the scooch

Here is the talented Kaci racing Mama Verdi down the hall way! I love that she can move, but this scooch is hilarious! Go Kaci Go!

Picnic in the Mountains

We had a fun day with the Call Familia (brad's older brother). We went to Tooele and had a picnic and went for a lil stroll in the hills. It was BEAUTIFUL out there. We went a lil crazy with the pictures. I've forgotten how pretty the mountains are!

Identity Theft Warning!

Kim and Nate are going back to Hawaii, we wondered if we dressed just like them if anyone would notice us in their place? We've been scouring the neighborhood for a lil boy to dress up like baby Nate!
Hey Howards!! How Do We Look?

Ha! Ha! Ha! Hand me downs rock! As we were leaving the house Brad noticed that I'm wearing Kim's old shirt, Brad's wearing Nate's old shirt, and Kaci is wearing... well all of Lili's old clothes.

making music

Kaci loved this toy! She got to do two of her favorite things when she played with it. Stand up and hit it!

We have arrived!

Kaci has five cousins to play with here in Utah. Nancy's three girls and Brianne's little girl and boy. Megan, Nancy's youngest is a lil older than Kaci, and she is a hoot. She makes the funniest faces. Her scowl is my favorite. That furrowed brow makes me laugh everytime.

Our Great Voyage continued

We got a ton of stuff to Prescott and then we had to get it all to Utah. We rented a car and stuffed it full of everthing. Brad made it all fit by taking it out of the boxes and suitcases and craming it into every nuck and cranny of the rental. He did it!

And he only broke one thing, my blender. Luckily, my granny gave me her vitamix (it's old, but it works) so I can still make smoodies (that's how my neice lili says smootheis). Thus our great voyage to Virginia continues. We now have all our earthly belongings in Utah (minus all my childhood keepsakes, thanks for still storing those MOM!)

Silly Mama Verdi and GG

Can I admit that I am homesick? You'd think that I'd get over being homesick by now, but our visit to Arizona this time just made me want to stay forever. We had so much fun with everyone and we did so much fun stuff that I can't help but miss it. I absolutely love staying with my parents. Even though they have moved out of the house I grew up in, when I go visit them I still feel like I'm home again.

I love this picture of my mom because it catches her in her natural element, silly! Kaci loves playing with her just as I did and still do. It was so great to walk into a room and see Kaci laughing and playing with her grandparents. Brings back memories of my childhood. I just love my parents to pieces!

She just keeps Smiling!

Despite driving over 30 hours, flying over an ocean, sleeping in 6 different places, meeting or visiting over a hundred different people, and skipping naps... Kaci keep on smiling. Are we the luckiest parents in the world or what?

Brad's Mission President

Brad served his mission in Chile, Vina del Mar (03-05). When we were in Az we had a chance to visit his Mission President, President Andersen. Such a nice guy. Brad loved talking about the mission. He loved Kaci. We only visited for a few minutes, but it was fun.

We FINALLY have a digital camera!

Brad got his new fancy dancy camera! It's drop proof, water proof, and freeze proof. If we wreck this camera, we GIVE UP! We hope it will last a LONG LONG time! Here are a few pictures we took to try it out! We got a little silly with the under water pictures.
But ya gotta love Brad's face!!

Kim Graduated!

You may know her as Kim, Topper, Eyera... however you know her, SHE IS OFFICIALLY A COLLEGE GRAD! She graduated this past weekend with a BFA (bachelors of fine arts) from UofA. It was really fun to go to her movie premier. She made a short film (12 minutes) called Calles de Oro. It's a mockumentary, musical. It was so good. Of all the films I honestly liked hers the most. It was the best by far in my opinion. She is super talented. I am so glad I got to see it ( I was really excited about it)! The movie was played at the Fox Theatre in Tucson. It was really cool. I went with Victoria and Cass. We've been friends for so long and we still have a great time together. Cassidy is going to BYU in the fall to work on her Nursing degree. She's due to graduate in two years (she was on a mission for the past year and a half, otherwise I probably would have attended her graduation too)
Brad and Kaci have been real troopers to drive all over Arizona and attending my friends graduations. It has been amazing, I honestly feel so proud of Kim. It is a HUGE accomplishment to graduate. I am so lucky to have such an amazing friend.
Kim rocks, and I'm excited to see all the cool stuff she will do in the future.

Schnepft's Farm Peach Festival

Millions of Peaches, Peaches for Me! We went to the farm on Saturday and picked peaches! It was a lot of fun. We went on a hay ride and picked lots of peaches. Kaci really liked them. I think we ate way too many while we were picking them, but they were so delicious!

Kaci made a new friend. Here she is with Eva (kinda of like a cousin to us, she's my uncle kevin's neice). Kaci will always go to her and Eva loves to play with Kaci.

Pool Time at the Listers

The Lister's have a very fun pool to play in. Kaci and I had a great time. Brad took her swimming earlier that day. Kaci is such a little fish! I am so excited to put her in swim lesson when we get to Utah.

Grand Canyon Adventure

We went to the Grand Canyon last Saturday. It was Brad's first time. We had a delicious picnic on the South Rim and then hiked down into the canyon for about 30 minutes.

It was BEAUTIFUL! We had a great time. Brad hugged the rocks the whole way as we hiked along the cliff side. He was a trooper. The Listers, Granny, and the Hebners all came. It was a very memorable day!

Kaci has now hiked the Napali Coast (another cliff hugger) and the Grand Canyon... and she's not even a year old yet!

NAU Graduation

My friend Victoria graduated from NAU this past weekend. She graduated with Honors and Magna Cum Laude! Smarty Pantalones! I'm lucky to call her my friend. It was so great to share that day with her. I got teary eyed watching her receive her diploma. We've been friends since high school, and I know how hard she has worked to earn that degree. It made me proud to have such a stalwart example in my life. Also, I pondered our friendship and realized that through high school and college not mention marriage and a baby for me, we've always been there for each other. She came to my wedding and the birth of my first child. I can't really express how grateful I am to be friends with Victoria! Congrats Girl! You did it!!

the fuzzy picture is of the four of us, we're a group of best friends since high school Kim, Cass, Victoria, and Me

Kaci is Mobile!

What exactly classifies as a crawl? If you only have to use three limbs to get around, does that qualify? Or do you have to use all four? Either way, Kaci is on the move now. She FINALLY figured it out this morning on the breakfast table! It is fun to watch her! I'll try and get it on video soon!!

Kaci and the Stawberry

Strawberries were "buy one get one free" When I sat down to eat some, Kaci dove for the strawberries, picked one out, and shoved the whole thing into her mouth. I retrieved it, and cut one up for her. She ate that one and then dove for another one. This time, however, she would not let me get it out. She ate whole thing. I was scared she would choke, but she didn't. She ate three before I put them away. I think it's safe to say that Kaci likes strawberries!

**picutures are courtesy of my friend Brisha (she takes great pictures) who caught the whole fiasco on camera! **
