Reading

Ok, one more lame post. I'm chuck full of them lately. Sorry. I do have one good post, but I haven't taken a picture yet. So, a good post is lurking in the future, promise!

...til then, on to my boring post!

I'm reading the Anne of Green Gables Series. I know, most girls read/watched them when they were still, girls, ya know in elementary school. Someone recommended the first book, and I LOVED it! I'm glad I waited til I lived out in the country to read a book (and entire series) about a girl who lives in the country.
My only regret is that I'm borrowing them from the library. I wish I had my own copy to highlight all my favorite quotes. I haven't seen the movies, but I likely will, probably during those dark cold months in Alaska. This may be the first series ever that I read more than once, someday I'll buy my own copy of the series (I heard you can get the whole series in one big book). I'll read it with a highlighter in hand and bask in the glory of Anne's thoughts and words.

I haven't read any of the books, but the movies are some of my favorite ever!! They're classic and I could watch them all day! One of my favorite quotes from one of the movies (and I'm fairly certain it would be in the book) is the part where Anne is talking to Marilla about imagination and Marilla says she never has time for imagaination, or thinks it's sill or something like that, and Anne replies, "Oh, Marilla, how much you miss." The way the actress says it on the movie is the best! I'm excited for you to read these stories! I should read the books too. Love this post! :)

You know, I've never read the books. But my sisters always raved about them.

And two other things: 1. I hate when I have nothing to say but boring posts...so that's what people get to read. 2. I don't think your posts are boring at all. In fact, they make me laugh all the time!

Those books are full of GREAT quotes!!!! And you haven't seen the movies? They are GREAT too-I made steve watch them with me when we were engaged...he was a good sport...a really good sport. I got the movies on VHS for a dollar last summer and was pretty excited!

That's so funny that you were reading them, I just recently re-read the first one, too! It was very refreshing. I haven't read them all; I do love the ones I have though, they really make you want to be a more positive person. Never seen the movies, but now I'm inspired to go look them up and rent them!

I also had what some girls would call a deprived childhood. Good tip on getting a copy to highlight, I'll have to hunt them down and immerse myself for a time. :)

Hey, I just read almost the whole series last summer. It got a little old when I got to the books about her daughter, but I really enjoyed them.
