Don't Sass Me

I woke up at midnight to scratch the heck out of my foot.
I woke up at 2:50 to take Kaci to the potty.
I woke up at 4:44 to get ready for seminary.
I said a fervent prayer at 5:59 that I could forget my awful night mare, focus on Christ, and give the inspiring 30 minute lesson I spent 4 plus hours studying for and preparing...

At 6:50 one of my seminary students got impatient.
At 6:59 another girl gave me a dirty look (which I half joking gave back).
At 7:03 another lovely girl sassed me.

I didn't lash out at her, or the others. I finished explaining the amazing morning-side I've been planning for the past two weeks, dismissed them ON TIME, cleaned up the mess they left, and came home to an emotional two year old.

It's going to be one of those days.

Did you pray for patience? I find that whenever I pray for patience, I get only 1 hour of sleep, and have two emotionally unstable children. Also that the sun and the moon are rotating in opposite direction. And that my husband has become the most irritating man in the world. I've stopped praying for patience! Haha!

Oh, my goodness that sounds awful. I hope your day only got better and not worse. Hopefully things will get easier, it sounds like things are really stressful right now. Hang in there.

when i have days like this I always turn to this quote by Ralph waldo Emmerson--he says this
"Finish each day and be done with it. You did what you could-, some absurbities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day , begin it with too high a spirit to be combered with our old nonsense."

(: that quote makes sense to me
and always gets me smiling again.

Loved the title of your post.
And loved Kelly's comment about praying for patience.
Amen to both.
